16. Duration of license and permit and renewal procedure:
(1) The term of license and permit shall be one financial year. (2) Broadcasting organization or person who wants to renew the license or permit, without paying for the period of validity of the license or permit, shall attach the proof of payment of the broadcast and distribution fee for the previous financial year to be submitted as per rule 11, before the Ministry in the format as per Schedule-8 for renewing the license or permit. An application must be made. (3) If there is any application for the renewal of a license or permit in accordance with sub-rule (2), the Ministry may renew such license or permit by charging an amount equal to ten percent of the fee charged for issuing the license or permit.
However, organizations or individuals who produce their own programs and broadcast through terrestrial, satellite or cable television channels or FM radio broadcasting organizations or individuals will be renewed by the end of June 2077. Renewal fee will be fully exempted.
(3A) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (3), up to the end of June 2078: Television channel WAF that produces programs by itself and transmits them through ground-surface, geo-satellite walkable. .M. If an individual or organization broadcasting radio and radio network submits an application for the renewal of the financial year 2078/79 by the end of December 2078, the Ministry may grant a full discount on the renewal fees and fines charged for the financial year 2078/79 of such individuals or organizations.
< p>(3b) If the application received as per sub-rule (3a) is not found to be successful, the Ministry shall require the petitioner to complete the application within fifteen days from the date of commencement of this sub-rule and renew it within thirty days as per sub-rule (3a).(4) If the license or permit is renewed after the deadline as per sub-rule (2), ten percent for the first one month, twenty percent for the second one month, and one month for the third.The ministry can renew such license and permit by taking a fine of thirty percent up to 1000, fourth forty percent up to one month, fifth fifty percent up to one month and sixth one hundred percent up to one month. If the license or permit is not renewed even within 6 months, such license or permit shall be automatically cancelled.
(4A) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (4), those who have not renewed the license or permit until the commencement of this sub-rule shall produce the program by themselves. If a television channel or FM radio broadcast via terrestrial, satellite or cable broadcasting organization or person wants to renew the license or permit, they can submit an application to the Ministry in the format according to sub-rule (2) before the end of January 2077.< /p>
(4B) If an application is received according to sub-rule (4), the ministry may charge the fee according to this rule and the transmission and distribution fee according to rule 11 and renew it.
(5) Elsewhere in this rule Regardless of what is written, if any broadcasting organization or person who has a license or permit applies to the Ministry for renewal of the license or permit once for a maximum of 5 years, the Ministry
takes the fee as per sub-rule (3) for each year and issues such license. Or the license can be renewed. In this way, there will be a twenty five percent discount on the fees incurred when renewing a license or permit for a period of more than one year.
16A. Can recommend for foreign currency exchange: If the equipment needed by a broadcasting organization needs to be imported from abroad or when a broadcasting organization is affiliated with a foreign broadcasting organization or if foreign currency is required when entering into a signal distribution agreement with such an organization, the relevant ministry shall provide such currency at the prevailing open exchange rate.
